South River Music Program schedule through the end of the 2025 year:

December 1, 2025 – After school Orchestra rehearsal 3:30 – 5:30 pm

December 3, 2025 – After school Band rehearsal 3:30 – 5:30 pm

December 3, 2025 – Jazz Band rehearsal 5:30 – 6:30 pm

December 4, 2025 – South River Jazz and Chorus Winter Candlelight Concert – 7:00 pm, South River High School. Holiday Cookie reception to follow – families please bring a plate/container of store bought cookies to share. Sign-up genius: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0D44A8A92EA4F94-60796004-2025. Students stay after to rehearse and decorate auditorium, pizza dinner $10 or bring brown bag. December 18, 2025 snow date.

December 4, 2025 – Lights of Kindness Holiday Forest lighting ceremony, 5:00pm-7:00pm, Homestead Gardens, 743 West Central Avenue, Davidsonville, MD 21035. Join us along with other nonprofits and businesses in the “Holiday Forest” as we celebrate working together to make our community better for all. There will be a few guests from area nonprofits, music from students at South River High School, lots of food, and connecting with one another. The web site www.RotaryLightsofKindness.org will go live for voting with the event. $1 per vote.

December 5 – 7, 2025 – Lights of Kindness Holiday Forest will be open during Homestead Business hours for everyone to visit and vote ($1 per vote). Each day there will be a drawing for a free Christmas Wreath that all can register.

December 7, 2025 – Lights of Kindness Holiday Forest will close at 4:00pm

December 8 – 15, 2025 – Lights of Kindness Holiday Forest online voting ($1 per vote) continues until Monday December 15th, 5:00pm, www.rotarylightsofkindness.org

December 8, 2025 – After school Orchestra rehearsal 3:30 – 5:30 pm

December 9, 2025 – 2 Hour Early Dismissal – Project Unity

December 10, 2025 – After school Band rehearsal 3:30 – 5:30 pm

December 15, 2025 – After school Band and Orchestra Dress rehearsal 3:30 – 5:30 pm

December 16, 2025 – South River Instrumental Winter Concert – 7:00 pm, South River High School. Holiday Cookie reception to follow – families please bring a plate/container of store bought cookies to share. Sign-up genius: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0D44A8A92EA4F94-60795999-2025. Students will report at 5:45 pm. December 18, 2025 snow date.

December 18, 2025 – Snow Date for all Winter Concerts

December 22, 2025 – January 5, 2026 – Winter Break – schools closed
