First Fundraiser: Aug 25!
We still need ONE MORE ADULT VOLUNTEER! If your student is volunteering, please consider volunteering and hang out with us for the day. We could really use your help.
Our first fundraiser will be on August 25 (9:00am – 7:00pm) and we will be working the soda stations at the Maryland Renaissance Festival. This is our most profitable fund raiser of the year and we need volunteers to work it: 15 students (age 14+), 6 adults and 2 student and 2 adult alternates. You do not have to be in band to volunteer for this fundraiser. We’d love to have chorus, orchestra, and jazz students join us!
Volunteers must wear either dark blue (not jeans) or khaki pants and a white shirt. If you’d like, you may instead wear an appropriate costume, but it must be approved by the coordinator. Any volunteer not in a costume will be issues a tunic to be worn at all times while in the soda stand.
Tips given to volunteers are considered part of the fundraiser and should be turned into an adult volunteer prior to departing the Renaissance Festival on Aug 25.
Marching Band Refresher Day (Aug 28)
On August 28, from 3pm to 8pm, marching band students are expected to participate in the Marching Band Refresher Day. Students should bring a water bottle to refill.
