Welcome to the South River Music Program

The South River Music Program includes Chorus, Marching Band, Concert Band, Orchestra, Jazz Band, and Tri-M. All of these programs are supported by the Music Boosters.

Spring Trip – Registration EXTENDED!

We finally have a Spring Trip update for you! We will be taking a 1-day trip to New York City and will be seeing Frozen on Broadway! The total cost of the trip is $275 and there is only room for the first 50 participants.

The trip includes:

  • Bus transportation to and from NYC
  • Tours at Top of the Rock and Radio City Music Hall
  • Lunch at the food court at Rockafeller Center
  • Frozen the Broadway Musical
  • Sit down dinner

Approximate times: 6am departure and 11pm return.


  • EXTENDED until Feb 28, 2020 – Completed Registration Forms
  • Feb 28, 2020 – Deposit Due via Check or PayPal
    If using PayPal, please indicate the Student’s name and Spring Trip. Also, please send using Friends & Family option to avoid additional fees.
  • Mar 20, 2020 – Remaining Balances Due

** Note that students must be current with all of their music fees and obligations in order to participate in the Spring Trip.

Our annual Play-a-thon Instrumental Clinic is coming up on February 29 from 9:00a – 5:00p in the South River Music Suite. All Band & Orchestra members are expected to attend. This is an all-day educational clinic with guest musicians and guest conductors working with students all day on County Festival Music.. This is also a fundraising opportunity for students that can cover Activity fees, Spring Trip costs, and other expenses.  More information about Play-a-thon and the Pledge Sheet are below:

New Instruments will also be made available for students to try out from Music & Arts Center that day. Be sure to support our music students by sponsoring them for the clinic.

Summer Band Camp

The Summer Band Camp dates for the summer of 2020 are tentatively set for August 3-14, 2020. 

Help Needed!!

We are looking for volunteers to assist with the Music Booster Digital Communications. Assistance is required to:

  • Send out our weekly Eblast,
  • Maintain the Sign-Up Genius,
  • Respond to emails received at SouthRiverMusic@gmail.com,
  • Assist in the maintenance of our website, and
  • Promote our Music Program through our social media sites.

No experience is needed and training will be provided. If you are interested, please contact us at SouthRiverMusic@gmail.com.

Activity Fees

A friendly reminder about activity fees: the Fall fees were due September 30th for all Performance Groups and are listed below. The Spring fees will be due on Feb 28, 2020.

Fall Fees:

  • Marching Band 2nd payment: $150
  • Concert Band Fall payment: $100
  • Jazz Band Fall payment: $25
  • Orchestra Fall payment: $100
  • Chorus Fall payment: $50

Spring Fees:

  • Concert Band Spring payment: $100
  • Jazz Band Spring payment: $25
  • Orchestra Spring payment: $100
  • Chorus Spring payment: $50
