The South River Music Program includes Chorus, Marching Band, Concert Band, Orchestra, Jazz Band, and Tri-M. All of these programs are supported by the Music Boosters.
2020 Spring Trip
Friday morning (Jan 17) the Music Boosters emailed out a survey on the Spring Trip. We need your assistance to make this year’s trip possible. Please respond to the survey by 5:00p on Monday, Jan 20.

The South River Seahawks will be putting on Pippin and this year it will host a live pit orchestra. Please join us January 23-25 to support the students in their first full scale musical of the new decade! Attendance is extra credit for Chorus students.
Coffee & Donuts Information Night
Coffee and Donuts Information Night is for new music students and parents to learn more about the music program and ask any questions that they may have. It will be on January 21 at 6:30p in the Music Suite.
Returning families are welcome to attend as discussions of the Crofton High School opening and the outlook on the South River Music Program will be discussed.
Solo & Ensemble Festival
We have a great turn out of students scheduled to perform at this years Solo & Ensemble Festival in February! Please make sure to send in your $8 registration fee, per event, to the Music Office mailbox this week. Checks can be made payable to “South River Music Boosters.”
Solo & Ensemble is required for Honor Chorus students on Feb 1. Please pay the $8 fee. Checks should be made out to SRHS Music Boosters.
Our annual Play-a-thon Instrumental Clinic is coming up on February 29 from 9:00a – 5:00p in the South River Music Suite. All Band & Orchestra members are expected to attend. This is an all-day clinic workshop with guest conductors, guest musicians, new instruments to try out from Music & Arts Center, and much more. This is also a fundraising opportunity for students. Be sure to support our music students by sponsoring them for the clinic.
