August 29, 2023 – Percussion practice – Band Room 3:30 – 5:45 pm

August 29, 2023 – Color Guard practice – Band Room 3:30 – 5:00 pm

August 29, 2023 – Registration Deadline for Band field trip to University of Maryland College Band Day

August 30, 2023 – Marching Band Practice – Band Room – 3:40 – 5:30 pm

September 1, 2023 – Marching Band students report to Band Room for Hallway Play at 2:45 pm

September 1, 2023 – Friday Night Lights Home Game vs. Southern – Marching Band report to Band Room after school and remember bring $5 for pizza dinner! Game starts at 6:30 pm, March to Stadium and perform National Anthem at 6:00 pm. Optional Post-game party at Glory Days at Lee Airport Shopping Center (bring $$ for food) and make sure to have ride home!

September 4, 2023 – Labor Day – School closed

September 5, 2023 – Percussion practice – Band Room 3:30 – 5:45 pm

Game starts at 6:00 pm, March to Stadium and perform National Anthem at 5:30 pm. October 8, 2023 – Mandatory All Percussion Students Rehearsal for Marching Band Exhibition Full Retreat Performance at Glen Burnie High School – 1:00 – 3:00 pm, vehicle drop off will take place on Glen Road in Glen Burnie.

October 9, 2023 – Orchestra practice – Orchestra Room 3:30 – 5:00 pm

October 10, 2023 – Percussion practice – Band Room 3:30 – 5:45 pm

October 10, 2023 – Color Guard practice – Band Room 3:30 – 5:00 pm

October 11, 2023 – Marching Band practice – Band Room – 3:40 – 5:30 pm

October 13, 2023 – Home Game vs. Crofton – Senior Marching Band Recognition Evening – Star Spangled Spectacular Choral edition with feeder schools – Chorus and Marching Band report to Band Room after school and remember bring $5 for pizza dinner! Game starts at 6:00 pm, March to Stadium with feeder school students and South River Chorus and perform National Anthem with the Marching Band at 5:30 pm. Optional Post-game party at Glory Days at Lee Airport Shopping Center (bring $$ for food) and make sure to have a ride home!

October 16, 2023 – Orchestra practice – Orchestra Room 3:30 – 5:00 pm

October 18, 2023 – Anne Arundel County Marching Band Exhibition hosted by us, South River High School – 5:00 – 10:00 pm – this is an all hands on deck event and we will need as many Music Booster parent volunteers as we can get, please contact us at [email protected] if you can volunteer. Star Spangled Band Spectacular Band Edition with SRHS Marching Band and feeder schools performing the National Anthem at 5:00 pm.

October 23, 2023 – Scary Strings feeder concert rehearsal – South River High School – 5:00 – 8:00 pm

October 24, 2023 – Percussion practice – Band Room 3:30 – 5:45 pm

October 24, 2023 – Color Guard practice – Band Room 3:30 – 5:00 pm

October 25, 2023 – Marching Band practice – Band Room – 3:40 – 5:30 pm

October 27, 2023 – Home Game vs. North County – Cheer and Football Seniors Recognition Evening – Marching Band report to Band Room after school and remember bring $5 for pizza dinner! Game starts at 6:00 pm, March to Stadium and perform National Anthem at 5:30 pm. Optional Post-game party at Glory Days at Lee Airport Shopping Center (bring $$ for food) and make sure to have a ride home!

October 30, 2023 – Scary Strings Feeder Concert supporting Harvest for the Hungry – South River High School – 7:00 pm – Orchestra report to Orchestra Room after school to practice, decorate the Auditorium Entrance and Lobby, and remember bring $5 for pizza dinner! Attendees please bring one non-perishable food item to donate.

November 3-4 & 10&11, 2023 – Rock ‘N Soul Revival – 7:00 pm

November 16, 2023 – Tri-M inductions – 7:00 pm

December 1, 2023 – Jazz and Chorus Winter Candlelight Concert – 7:00 pm. Holiday Cookie reception to follow – families please bring a plate/container of store bought cookies to share. Information to follow from the Music Boosters.
