Band Camp Meals

Week 1

  • Aug 5 – Bring Your Own Lunch
  • Aug 6 – Chick-fil-A Sandwiches and Bottled Water
  • Aug 7 – Pizza (cheese, pepperoni, sausage, Hawaiian, Veggie) and Bottled Water
  • Aug 8 – Capriotti’s Subs, Bottled Water and Cookies/Brownies
  • Aug 9 – Amish Market Breakfast Logs (bacon (optional), egg and cheese wrapped in pretzel dough) and Bottled Water

Week 2

  • Aug 12 –  Chick-fil-A Sandwiches and Bottled Water
  • Aug 13 – Taco Tuesday! Taco Bar – chicken, beef and veggie options
  • Aug 14 – Panera Mac & Cheese Bar
  • Aug 15 – Pizza – cheese, pepperoni and sausage
  • Aug 16 – Family Potluck Picnic
    • Boosters: Hot dogs, hamburgers, buns and condiments
    • Percussion: three 2L bottles of soda
    • High Brass: chips/salty snacks
    • Low Brass: side dish serving for 10
    • Guard: side dish serving for 10
    • Flutes: dessert serving for 10
    • Clarinets: dessert serving for 10

General Information

If your student is participating in the marching band, they are expected to attend summer Marching Band Camp. The dates of the camp are Aug 5 – 9 (8am – 3pm) and Aug 12 – 16 (3pm – 8pm).

The cost for marching band is $300, payable in 2 installments: $150 at Marching Band Camp and $150 by Sept 30. Please download the registration packet, read it, and bring the completed forms with your first installment ($150) on the first day of Marching Band Camp.

Aug 5, the first day of Marching Band Camp is for new, first-year participants, marching band leadership and color guard only.

We need volunteers to work registration!
Please use the Sign-Up Genius to volunteer to assist with registration.

Aug 6 – 9, all marching band students are expected to participate (8am – 3pm). Students should bring a water bottle to refill and snacks for each day of camp. Your student may bring a bagged lunch or purchase a meal from the South River Music Booster Food Service Committee for $5 each day.

We need volunteers to serve food!
Please use the Sign-Up Genius to volunteer to serve lunch and/or dinner.

August 12-16, all marching band students are expected to participate (3pm – 8pm). Students should bring a water bottle to refill and snacks for each day of camp. Your student may bring a bagged dinner or purchase a meal from the South River Music Booster Food Service Committee for $5 each day.

Please note that on the final day (Aug 16), students will have the final rehearsal from 3pm – 5pm. Family and friends are invited to join us between 6pm and 8pm for a cookout, the watermelon helmet contest and a private season-teaser concert of the 2019 Fall Marching Band Show.

Marching Band Refresher Day (Aug 28)

On August 28, from 3pm to 8pm, marching band students are expected to participate in the Marching Band Refresher Day. Students should bring a water bottle to refill.
